Welcome to LamboScales. This site is dedicated to my hobby. I make scale models for over 15 years now.
I started with making cars from cardboard and I used various materials to bond the cardboard, such as
regular glue, isolating band etc. Over time I started make my models more realistic and more detailed.
In that time, after I got excited about a car, all I needed was a picture from the side, and I could start
making the model. It was great to have the cars I liked, but the most thrilling part was the building
process. The sensation of discovering new techniques and enjoying the shapes I made is unforgetable.
There was a period in my life when I stopped making models for various reasons. After about two years
I decided to make something I never done before: building a scale model from scratch! Chosing the car
wasn't hard at all. My favorite car for many years was the Lamborghini Diablo. In 2001 its production
was stopped and a new model, the Murcielago was presented. It took me years to get friendly with this
new supercar, but that's another story. Important is, that I decided to build a Murcielago scale model.
If this would be something I never done before, than it's important to make it in a different size.
I've done anything up to 1:18 (except the Diablo engine), so something bigger sould do it... maybe 1:4?
I got so excited, I could hardly wait to get started!
